OK
I'm starting to be able to see my desk. But that just means I've created piles in other places. But who cares about that right now. I've decided to do a Halloween party at my house this Friday. Not for big kids. For my son and my neices and nephews. So I'll be sharing my menu and a couple of pictures as well. I'm thinking about a Ghostbusters marathon after the trick or treaters have gone. So it should be fun. But I do have to compose the ultimate sugar filled feast. We'll see what I come up with.

Feeling pretty popular this week. Been invited to a couple of invitation only gatherings on next week. So I think I'm going to do some more networking. I'm excited because the invitations have some from people I'm currently or have worked with but not clients. I'm talking about the owners and directors of facilities. So it's a real big compliment for me to be on some exclusive lists.

Work...I am working on the final details for the SRVS employee banquet (Nov. 14th). The attendance was up to 250 as of last Friday so everyone is excited to have so many people confirmed so early. We are working on 400. I think we'll get pretty close. Marketing and PR have done a good job of promoting as something different this year. SRVS has done the same employee banquet for the last several years ( hotel banquet room with sit down dinner). And this year we are really spicing things up; a cocktail syle party at the STAX museum. Ambiance is glad to be apart. I can't wait to share a few photos with you.

Lastly, the focus in on securing new leads out of Ohio and Mississippi for 2009 bookings. It's looking like another promising year. I LOVE MY JOB! Hope you can say the same.

I normally try to blog about something wedding or event related. Something for you to think about, something that helps you out. Something inspiring even. But today...my desk is a wreck. HELP! I need an intern.

What Do Brides Want?

It's what every wedding vendor wants to know. So I'm asking. Ambiance has the insane idea to rent wedding gowns? What do you think. Is that something brides want. Or at least the option. I think with the economic times it could work. But of course it won't work without your support. It has to be what brides are looking for.

The common cents gown rentals are something we've toyed around with a lot. Rent them...sell them and close the division...and now we're back to maybe rent them and see what happens. Help! What do I do? Or should I say, what do you brides want?

Meet the Happy Couple: Bridgette Gipson and Quentin Reed. The couple will wed this upcoming Saturday, October 11th and will honeymoon in Jamaica. It's been another non-fussy production as Bridgette has planned the details of this day herself and hired Ambiance on to be her Day-Of Director to execute them.

We've had a blast this past month keeping Bridgette from scrunching her face up; considering she wanted a destination wedding but was over ruled as she is the only girl. In other words...mom wasn't having it. LOL. So here we are doing the next best thing; small and intimate. It will be fun. Congrats you two and here's to many happy years together. Cheers!

Last weekend was the first wedding I've ever worked through just sick for no reason. I tried everything, thera-flu, robitusin, alka seltzer cold/sinus, airbourne, orange juice, halls, decongestion nose drops, saline, and anything else I could find. And nothing worked. Finallly, my voice began to fade but not before the night ended.

My voice just returned to me only a day ago and I have the genius idea to scream and shout at my nephews football game this weekend, "Go Broncos". But I'll take a pee wee overtime win any saturday. It's football, I can't help it.

There will be new pictures up on the site soon. Just trying to get back in the swing of things as we prepare for our next wedding on Oct. 11th. Stay tuned...
