We met up to talk everything and nothing; kids, school, meal plans, business, finding balance and how on earth either of us keeps track of it all.
And then it hit her, a thing that puzzles her about weddings.
Public Service Announcement
I must start this new segment (Pardon My French) with you knowing that all wedding peeves and nuances are ALL my fault. Yup! Everything that ever happened, at any wedding, ever attended, is directly related to myself. I've learned to accept it.
End Announcement
And I quote..."Why on earth, if people know they are going to drink beer all night but wear a nice suit don't think to put a suit on it (the beer) too. Why don't people personalize those little kozzi's for it or something?"
Folks...I hollered! I hollered because this was the first time I had to actually admit that this may totally be my fault. I had to tell her that I typically don't even promote kozzi's but often look at them as an unnecessary last minute expense.
To further prove her point, we moved on to show and tell. The following photo is terrible by web standards but had to be done this way to protect EVERYONE...especially her.
She continued her rant with "Every one of your photos has you all dressed up in a tux but walking around like you are at a college party. I'm just saying, at least for the wedding party. The people who will definitely be in the pictures." This got me to looking into a few Ambiance Real Weddings and what do you know...GUILTY...under dressed bottles everywhere!
I had NEVER thought of it this way. A decade of planning and the nakedness of bottles never bothered me. I had also never seen anyone so passionate about them. My giggles were uncontrollable but the message profound. No bride wants her wedding to resemble a college party. What the hell have I been doing all these years?
I have since pledged to collectively get our wedding lives together. No more beers in birthday suits crashing the party. Time to grow up and suit up people.
What do you think? Are bottle kozzi's tacky or tasteful? Are you #TeamNaked or #TeamCoverUp?
